ELIGIBILITY: Practitioners and Non-Practitioners

Established in 1997, this program was created to provide a tutorial mentoring for health practitioners. It was designed to fast-track the conversion of nutritional theory into clinical practice through skill building, by observation of real-life case studies through Webinar presentations.
How and why did it come to be? A group of recent graduates and nutrition students met to try and figure out the best way to open a proper nutrition practice. At that time, the existing schools did not teach this adequately and many graduates were confused as to where to begin with each client. What should be discussed during the first appointment? Which complaints to address initially? What product lines were the best to recommend? The second appointment: what to focus on next? It was out of this general need for Knowledge, Experience, and Support, that the Nutritional Preceptorship Program was born.
Their Mission has always been to empower practitioners, through their recorded Webinars, to achieve optimal health for themselves and their clientele and to save them the many years it took the creators of this program “to get to this point”.
Who are the ladies that have helped create and develop this program for the past few decades?
Gilda Rovan, BA, ROHP, DIHom(Pract), Lynne Hinton, BSc, BEd, ROHP, CHCP, and Marlene Marshall, CNP, ROHP, CHCP. Collectively, these practitioners have over 75 years of front-line experience in the field of Holistic Nutrition. They are each in clinical practice and are continuously educating themselves on the latest research and studies to ensure that their teachings are both relevant and current. Together they have worked as a team to inspire and educate practitioners and students since NPP began in 1997. Lynne and Marlene own and operate Edison Institute of Nutrition and are in private practice through their company, Health House. Gilda is in private practice in Toronto and a member of Edison’s Faculty as a Curriculum Advisor and Instructor. Lynne is also a world-renowned Instructor of Live Cell Microscopy and teaches the Certified Holistic Cancer Practitioner course at EIN.

The NPP Webinars encompass recorded Live Events, designed to educate practitioners, students, and those interested in learning more about natural therapies. They focus on imbalances and deficiencies related to health issues and discovering the root cause of dis-ease.

Each webinar focuses on a particular condition or organ in detail, demonstrating how it becomes imbalanced, and giving recommendations for changes in diet and lifestyle, and includes protocol suggestions that consist of a variety of supplements, herbs, homeopathic remedies, and drainage and/or detoxification methods to help eliminate the toxicity and clean up the body’s terrain.

All presentations are developed and conducted by highly successful practitioners considered exceptional in their field, including directors of Edison Institute of Nutrition and its instructors.

Some of the topics that the program covers:
