My Diploma in Holistic Nutrition with Edison has given me the credentials needed to open the doors to work with lab testing companies and recognition by multiple insurance companies, allowing for my clients to be reimbursed for my fees. I have a healthy and busy practice and love seeing the great results achieved by clients suffering from autoimmune, bone loss, arthritic, and mental health issues, including ADHD and Bipolar. I look forward to completing EIN’s Certified Holistic Cancer Practitioner and Live Cell Microscopy certificate programs in 2024. Marlene and Lynne have exhibited continuous support since I graduated, responding to my questions and showing that they care about my success. I am a happy and grateful graduate who highly recommends this school.

Hi, my name is Eden Arthur. I’m a Holistic Nutritionist (HN) that graduated from the Edison Institute of Nutrition’s diploma program in July 2022 and a professional member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Consultants Practitioners (CANNP). Since graduating, I’ve started my online business New Leaf Nutrition Holistic Wellness LTD. My health journey began in my early 20s when I let go of old coping mechanisms (Substance abuse); I sought help to heal and forgive the past. A part of my healing journey was healing my body, repairing the damage I had done to it and learning to be thankful for the body I have. I started learning about health and wellness initially just for my well-being. I began to move my body enjoyably, connected with nature more and ate meals that left me satisfied and would nourish my body. I soon realized that this was a passion of mine, and many other people are looking to make sustainable, long-term changes that empower them to live the balanced life they want. I understand that there are many different wellness factors, and I strive to honour each client’s personal journeys, goals, and individuality. True wellness is not one-size-fits-all, and healthy looks different to everyone. I strive to create an accessible, safe and non-judgmental environment for all clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and needs. My consulting style is warm, accepting, collaborative, inclusive and fun.
Let’s Turn over a new leaf together!

My goal is to share the therapeutic benefits of food and the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits to maintain a balanced well-being. As a Nutrition & Health Consultant, I help people adopt a healthy diet and a balanced lifestyle to improve their vitality and overall health. My passion for wellness led me to a career change. I have over 12 years of experience in the digital industry. As a Project Manager, Account Manager and then Product Manager, I guided multidisciplinary teams and supported leaders of international organizations in their digital transformation, providing insights and expertise that led to performing outcomes.

My name is Lindsay Dyck, I am a graduate with honours from the Edison Institute of Nutrition and a member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutrition Practitioners (CANNP), granting me the designation of Natural Nutrition-Clinical Practitioner, NNCP. I am passionate about all things related to health and well-being and I take pride in being a lifelong learner. I love relationship building and opportunities that allow me to truly connect with individuals in inspiring and meaningful ways. My desire is to educate, empower, and encourage individuals toward joy, vibrant health, and overall well-being.

I believe everyone has a unique story and journey, and I am no different. I’ve zig-zagged, up’d and downed, changed, learned, fallen and grown my way through various and diverse life experiences, all of which, I feel, have contributed to my being exactly where I need to be right now.

As it relates to my health, I spent the majority of my 20s feeling less than optimal and unwell, mentally and physically. A Celiac diagnosis in 2012 finally helped to bring relief and answers, in addition to providing the fuel toward a more focused pursuit of health restoration. Through my delving deep into the world of holistic health and wellness and benefiting from working in a natural health store I was able to restore my health and vitality, granting me a new lease on life as I entered my 30s.

I experienced an improvement in energy levels, focus and clarity, the alleviation of brain fog, improvement in anxiety, tempered mood swings, a normalized menstrual cycle, alleviated body aches and feelings of sluggishness, significant improvement in an array of disruptive and problematic digestive issues including bloating, malabsorption, and frequent washroom visits, and even a halt to persistent UTI infections and allergies.

This experience, combined with my desire to help others, led me to pursue nutritional studies at an academic level, enrolling into Edison Institute of Nutrition’s Holistic Nutrition diploma program in 2019. To me, an understanding of diet, and food as the fuel for our bodies, is foundational and paramount in pursuing health. This was the natural next step in my continued learning quest.

My personal motto: a solid snack and a great playlist can get you through the worst of days.

Here’s my story…

Since getting my first gym membership at age 16 and signing up for a triathlon, I have been geared towards my quest to personal health. That soon turned into a formal education in kinesiology, a part-time gig as a spin class instructor and most recently, certification as a holistic nutrition consultant through Edison Institute of Nutrition, 2020. As a mom of three young boys I’m often challenged with feeding the family one meal everyone can enjoy. But cooking at home and well-planned meals are a big part of the overall health conversation. I thrive when I’m helping others. Sharing my nutrition experience and education means many things; passing on a tasty recipe, troubleshooting gut health, talking about meal planning strategies, and even helping my two little home chefs learn to cook. I don’t do anything I’m not passionate about and am eager to translate a world of nutritional information into easy-to-follow and steps anyone could use to build their optimal health. I will motivate and inspire you to do your best!

I graduated with First Class Honours from the Edison Institute of Nutrition in January 2021 and have since been managing a busy fitness and wellness centre in Ottawa Ontario. I also have my own nutrition clients that I see. I began my nutritional journey towards dietary health during high school when I found myself battling with asthma, mental health issues, IBS and chronic infections. Through mindful approaches I healed my chronic ailments through diet and exercise changes, dramatically improving my quality of life and overall outlook on health.

Prior to beginning my Orthomolecular Health Science Program with the Edison Institute of Nutrition, I had a diverse background in athleticism. Throughout my life I have competed in numerous team and individual sports but my greatest achievement was competing at the Ontario Summer games in the Women’s Triathlon.

I specialize in plant-based sport based nutrition for athletes. I have been plant based for 10+ years now, using my diet to propel my athletic abilities. With the education I obtained from the Edison institute, I gained in-depth knowledge on how to eat plant-based and still obtain all the essential nutrients that our bodies need to not just properly function, but thrive.

Through a decade of nutritional practice I have learnt that you can’t eat one health food or take 1 pill and expect to be cured, in the same way that you can’t exercise one time and expect to be fit. I believe that health is a lifelong journey that is non-linear. Health is personal and completely unique for everyone who searches for it. This way we practice, adapt and change our health goals as we age. This is why Orthomolecular health is essential. Incorporating the science behind what we eat and the holistic approach to wellness through mind, body and soul.

I developed a love of gardening during childhood, my mother taught me about the soil food correlation, leading me to build a community garden in 2016. The connection between the earth and how we feel is a direct correlation that I implement in my practice.

After finishing my studies in Economics and then Education, I started a new chapter studying Nutrition Science at Edison Institute of Nutrition and opened my private nutrition practice. In addition, my role as a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls had me always looking for what’s best for my family’s health and wellness.

Chelsi Ferguson

My name is Chelsi Ferguson, and I am a second-generation Nutritionist and Graduate of the Edison Institute. I am inspired to work with individuals and families that want to make sustainable, long-term changes to diet and lifestyle that empower them to thrive and be their healthiest selves.

My name is Chelsi Ferguson, and I am a second-generation Nutritionist and Graduate of the Edison Institute. My own mother is a long-time practicing nutritionist and a Graduate of the same program. Despite growing up with my mother’s influence, it wasn’t until I experienced my own health crisis that I turned back to the roots of my upbringing. Like so many people, I found myself caught up in a fast-paced life and burning out; working, raising my children, and generally trying to keep up. Ignoring the many symptoms my body was giving me, I suffered a health breakdown.

Relief finally came in the form of diet and lifestyle changes, specifically managing stress and eating an anti-inflammatory diet. This was the first step in my journey to reclaim my own health and realize my potential to help others. I focused on rebuilding my healthy gut flora. I started exercising regularly and began to identify my stress and emotional triggers – including people. I reduced or eliminated all stressors as much as possible. I completely changed my career trajectory. I quit my job and enrolled in the Holistic Nutrition Diploma program at Edison. I unapologetically put my mental and physical health as my top priority and resolved my health problem.

My healing journey has led me to understand the importance of listening to the symptoms of the body. This is the only way it has of telling you something is out of balance. My goal is now to help other people identify and to get their systems back in balance. As we know, the human body has the amazing ability to respond and heal naturally.

Today, as a Holistic Nutritionist, I have started my own practice called Healthy Self Nutrition. I am inspired to work with individuals and families that want to make sustainable, long-term changes to diet and lifestyle that empower them to thrive and be their healthiest selves. The education I received at the Edison Institute has helped me feel confident and extremely prepared to deal with anything clients bring to the table.

Michale Hartte

Michale Hartte was awarded her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science with a specialty in Nutrition from Ontario’s Edison Institute of Nutrition, in 2004. She is a Natural Nutritional Consultant Practitioner (NNCP) and a professional member of the Canadian Association of of Natural Nutritional Consultants Practitioners (CANNP).

Michale Hartte was awarded her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science with a specialty in Nutrition from Ontario’s Edison Institute of Nutrition, in 2004. She is a Natural Nutritional Consultant Practitioner (NNCP) and a professional member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Consultants Practitioners (CANNP). Michale is the mother of two young children. Her heart-felt mission is to help find simple solutions for a healthier life through a personalized, natural, health-focused lifestyle and eating plan.

Michale’s own personal journey to wellness started with a teenage illness where she was diagnosed by a doctor as having “the immune system of an 80-year old Grandma.” This doctor warned that if she continued her destructive lifestyle and eating habits, she would be well on her way to developing a major degenerative disease.

These words of wisdom were not enough to make her change. Michale felt sick, tired, and very unhealthy. Searching for answers, Michale began looking to the mainstream media for direction. In her quest for health, she tried a lot of ‘diet advice’, including replacing high quantities of sugar and fat in her diet with artificial sugars and margarine. Following this direction led her to feel even more sick and tired!

Michale later developed Amenorrhea and Osteoporosis at the young age of 31. This was the “wake up call” that finally led her to look into the power of whole foods, and a healthy mindset for both healing and in creating top-level fitness and health. Michale has actually reversed this bone condition and is NOT considered to have Osteoprosis to this day.

Michale has 14 years experience in various areas of health and fitness. Her special interest is in helping people discover the nutritional and metabolic imbalances that are contributing to their undesirable symptoms or conditions including: obesity/overweight, hypothyroidism, high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer. Michale’s personal healing journey and deep satisfaction from helping people achieve healthy minds and bodies, has inspired her to create a website where she offers Customized Online Nutritional Plans. Visit www.fitnhealthynutrition.com for your FREE health assessment.

Michale also has a private consulting practice, ‘Fit ‘n Healthy Nutritional Consulting’ in Kelowna, BC, where she offers one-on-one nutritional consulting and Biotherapeutic Drainage TM (a specialized method of toxin removal, using homeopathic drops, to safely and easily remove the ‘stored up junk’ commonly associated with pain and disease).

Michale is a strong believer in the body’s ability to heal itself by cleaning up the “inner terrain.” This foundational belief has been verified through all her experience as a Researcher, Nutritional Counsellor, Writer and Educator to truly get results.

Michale has written for many popular health publications including Okanagan Health Magazine, Canada’s Alive Health Magazine, Blush Magazine and Nature’s Fare Nutritional News.

She is the creator/author of the nutrition plan featured in “Bob Proctor’s Life Success Perfect Weight Program,” where she illustrates, step-by-step, how one can correct the most common individual metabolic imbalances that are closely associated with being overweight! Her latest program “the Fit ‘n Healthy Plan” has just been released where she carefully guides her readers on how to look and feel Fit ‘n Healthy in using three simple steps. Step one begins with the individual assessment. Step two gives the results of the assessment with subsequent recommendations. Step three completes the system with a diet and lifestyle plan that becomes customized based on the results of the initial assessment. This system supports Vegetarian, Vegan and Animal Sourced Diets with specific foods, food combinations and supplements to optimize those diets. She is also currently working on a ‘Fit ‘n’ Healthy Diet and Lifestyle System’ for Children.

Hi I’m Mareike, in 2019, I graduated with First Class Honours from the Edison Institute of Nutrition and now specialize in Women’s health, Gut Health, and Mindful Living & Eating. My focus is on preventative health and wellness providing a comprehensive approach that integrates the whole body, mind, and soul.

Growing up in Germany, I took an interest in the body and how my actions and behaviors impacted my overall health. I was a top athlete, soccer player, horseback rider, and was deeply rooted in my small town community.

I struggled through my fair share of health problems, from candida overgrowth, to PMS and anxiety, and have had to work with many practitioners before I was able to get to the root cause of my concerns. With their help, I regained hope and motivation to take back control over my health.

This aspiration led me to the Edison Institute of Nutrition, where I completed a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition and registered as an Orthomolecular Holistic Practitioner (ROHP). Here, I received 2000 hours of orthomolecular nutritional education and expanded my horizon on preventative health and wellness.

Quickly, I learned that making changes is not easy, and I further pursued learning more about mindfulness as an integrative approach to making long-lasting nourishing changes for optimal health. I completed the Professional Mindful Eating and Living Training Program (MB-EAT) and continued with the Well Nourish Program, both at the Mindful Eating Training Institute (METI)

I believe that hormonal imbalance is NOT normal, and that by learning how to deeply listen to your body’s needs, you can get out of this cycle and enter a never-ending state of health and wellbeing. Besides running my own online business, I’m part of Professional Health Care Team at a Vancouver clinic and all-women personal training studio.

Today, my mission is to help women feel supported, motivated, and empowered in achieving optimum health and well-being.

Dr. Glenn B. Gero

The Edison program was one of my most rewarding educational experiences. It has formed the foundation and framework supporting all of my subsequent training and I am very proud to be a graduate of the Edison Institute of Nutrition.

Prior to beginning my Master’s Program with the Edison Institute of Nutrition, I had already attained master’s degrees in business and botanical medicine, a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and over a dozen certifications in various aspects in holistic healthcare. Having experience with both brick and mortar institutions, as well as distance learning schools, I thoroughly scrutinized the Edison program prior to commencing. I researched its reputation, its curriculum, and course format and found it to be the most convenient, yet most comprehensive nutrition education school available.

I was certainly impressed with the Diploma in Holistic Nutrition program content, the choice of textbooks, and the manner in which assignments were submitted, as well as the assistance that I received from the staff at Edison. The Edison program was one of my most rewarding educational experiences. It has formed the foundation and framework supporting all of my subsequent training and I am very proud to be a graduate of the Edison Institute of Nutrition.

Since completing my education I was accepted to participate in the post-graduate association at Harvard Medical School, completed certifications in biofeedback, life coaching and medical exercise and have been so inspired that I am now pursuing a doctor of science in nutrition.

I have a very busy private naturopathic practice in Clifton, New Jersey, and continue to use many of the principles learned from my Edison education.

I am a Natural Nutritional Consultant Practitioner (NNCP) and a professional member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Consultants Practitioner (CANNP). I graduated from the Edison Institute of Nutrition with my diploma in Holistic Nutrition.

I like to describe myself as a “lifelong learner.” Previously I completed my diploma in Social Services Worker, Mental Health and Addiction Worker, and a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Through the knowledge I gained from The Edison Institute and my previous education, I feel confident in achieving my future goals. I hope to help my clients by combining my passion and knowledge of Human Services, Mental Health, and Counselling with Holistic Nutrition. I believe that all health concerns impact our minds, body, and spirit. The body is a miracle that can cure itself give the proper nutrients and conditions.

I recently started Nutra-Journey, an online holistic nutrition practice. Through Nutra-Journey, I aim to support my clients in improving their health and wellness, digestion and balance their hormones. Through these processes, they lose weight and achieve their goals. All services are currently offered online at the comfort of your own home. Stay tuned as I am planning to offer Webinar series that focused on Men’s hormones: beyond just testosterone.

My name is Jodika McKinley. I graduated from the diploma program at Edison Institute of Nutrition in 2022. I found Edison Institute to be an amazing first step in my overall career trajectory. Edison taught me the fundamentals of Holistic Nutrition. From there I continued my education in Functional labs, Polyvagal theory and then took a Diploma in Counselling Hypnotherapy. Today I have a thriving coaching business in which I work with clients worldwide, helping them with their nutrition and mental health goals (anxiety, self-confidence, guilt/shame, emotional eating, weight loss, breakups/relationships, communication skills and self-awareness). I am thankful that I chose Edison Institute of Nutrition because not only were the staff and teachers knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, but the education I received has been quite foundational in the way that I help my clients (mentally, emotionally and physically). I feel it is a key piece as to why I do as well as I do in my Counselling Hypnotherapy practice; allowing me to stand out as a trusted professional who can look at the whole body and not just one piece, like many traditional coaches or therapists do.
