Book review of Cancer — Step Outside the Box, By Ty Bollinger (6th Ed), for the new Certified Holistic Cancer Practitioner (CHCP) Diploma Program at Edison Institute
As practitioners, we are seeing an overwhelming wave of cancer cases coming into our clinics. Every single one of us either knows a friend or a relative affected by cancer or has their own personal experience with it. Many cancer coaching courses and books on cancer do a great job of educating about all of the conventional treatments. While this information is important to know when working within the current medical paradigm, there is not enough education and understanding about the alternative therapies available.
Dr. Philip Binzel, in Alive and Well, states: “In the past fifty years, tremendous progress has been made in the early diagnosis of cancer. In that period of time, tremendous progress has been made in the surgical ability to remove tumors. Tremendous progress has been made in the use of radiation and chemotherapy in their ability to shrink or destroy tumors. But the survival time of the cancer patient today is no greater than it was fifty years ago. What does this mean? It obviously means that we are treating the wrong thing!”
There are dozens of alternative cancer treatments that can stop the spread of cancer and, even, cure the cancer completely. In his excellent book, Ty Bollinger discusses the most proven of these treatments. Since these treatments have not been submitted to the FDA by the pharmaceutical industry, the FDA labels them as “unproven”, no matter how much scientific evidence there is for the treatment. So why haven’t these treatments been promoted on all major TV networks? R. Webster Kehr, aka the “Cancer Tutor”, who wrote the forward in Cancer — Step Outside the Box, says, “Because if they told you these things, the pharmaceutical industry would pull all of their advertising money and give that advertising money to a competing station or magazine.” He adds, “the same people who make huge profits supplying and working with orthodox medicine also own the large television and radio networks. For example, General Electric, which makes huge profits from supplying hospitals with expensive equipment, and by selling prescription drugs, etc., owns the NBC network and at least 30 major NBC affiliates. General Electric is a member of the Cancer Industry and they own NBC!”
Ty Bollinger had the courage to step outside of the box to offer a complete, accurate and well documented summary of alternative cancer treatments. His book also includes a scathing expose of the evils of the mainstream cancer industry and great information about the best and worst foods, best nutrients, and best supplements for cancer. Every practitioner and cancer patient should read this book to help them to get through and understand the maze of alternative therapies available to them.
More books like this need to be mainstream best sellers to empower us all on our healing journeys.
